Core Practice support for Sydney dental practices

Core Practice moves your practice management into the browser. That changes what can go wrong: less server trouble, more dependence on internet, Wi-Fi and well-set-up workstations.

Core Practice is an Australian cloud-based practice management system. Because it runs in the browser, there's no practice database server to maintain, and your team can work from any properly set-up computer.

Cloud software doesn't remove the need for good IT; it moves it. A practice on Core Practice lives and dies by its internet connection, its network and the computers at each desk. Printing, scanning and imaging still happen locally, and they still need to work with the cloud system every time.

What we handle in a Core Practice clinic

  • Business-grade internet with a backup connection
  • Reliable Wi-Fi through the whole practice
  • Workstations specced for smooth browser performance
  • Printing and scanning that just works
  • Connecting imaging software alongside Core Practice
  • Secure staff accounts on shared computers
  • New practice and new room setups
  • Coordination with Core Practice support

Where we stop and the vendor starts

Faults inside the Core Practice application are handled by their support team. We deal with everything around it: if pages won't load, a printer vanishes or a room drops off the Wi-Fi, that's us, and when the fix needs their input we manage the ticket with them.

One call for your practice

Report the problem to us, whatever it looks like. We diagnose whether it sits in hardware, network, Windows or the application, fix what's ours, and manage the vendor case when it isn't. Your front desk stays out of the middle.

Core Practice support questions

What happens if our internet goes down?

With a cloud system, an internet outage stops the practice, so we set up a second connection (typically 4G/5G) that takes over automatically. Outages then become a brief blip instead of a lost morning.

Do we still need a server with Core Practice?

Usually not for practice management. Some practices keep a small server or NAS for imaging databases and file storage. We'll look at what you run and tell you what's actually needed.

Can you help us move from an older system to Core Practice?

The data conversion itself is run by Core Practice. We prepare the practice for the switch: internet, Wi-Fi, workstations and printers ready on day one, and the old system safely archived.
