VistaSoft support for Sydney dental practices
VistaSoft is Dürr Dental's current imaging platform. We set up and support the servers, networks and workstations it runs on, including migrations from DBSWIN.
VistaSoft is the successor to DBSWIN, managing images from Dürr Dental's VistaScan plate scanners, intraoral cameras and X-ray units. It typically runs with a central image database that every treatment room depends on.
Practices usually meet us at one of two points: moving to VistaSoft from an older system, or wanting their existing VistaSoft installation to be faster and safer. Both come down to the same things done properly: enough storage, a healthy server, a reliable network and tested backups.

We're upgrading from DBSWIN to VistaSoft. What's involved on the IT side?
Checking the server and storage against Dürr's requirements, upgrading anything that falls short, backing everything up before the migration, and verifying images and device connections room by room afterwards. The software migration itself runs with your Dürr dealer.
How much storage does an imaging database need?
It depends on your imaging volume and how long you've been capturing digitally, and it only ever grows. We size storage with years of headroom and monitor it so you're never surprised by a full disk mid-clinic.
Can VistaSoft images be part of our normal backups?
They must be. We include the image database in the practice backup routine and test restores, because an imaging backup you've never restored is a guess, not a backup.
